My Holidays
Holidays have to be one of my top priorities in life. My life's goal is
to visit a different country every year, and for the past
20 to 25 years that's
exactly what I've done. Some years, clocking up two or three different new
countries.
The intention of these holiday pages is to share information about the
location to help others planning similar visits. Also, simply as a reminder
to myself of where I've been, ready for when the memory goes!
I've already been to over 35 countries but since there's about 300, of
which many aren't exactly on the tourist map, I have no ambition to do them
all. Recent holiday destinations are as follows:

Boy", visiting France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Italy (just),
Austria and Germany. Annerlie and Eva showed us the Munich sights. |

China is awesome! Don't
ever fall into the trap of thinking that China is a poor, backward,
communist country - It's not! They're developing and growing fast,
and it wont be long before they'll be putting the west in it's place!
Two weeks
touring China with Derek. Shanghai,
Beijing, Xian, Guilin, Chongquin, and a Yangtze river cruise to Wuhan.
Then home via Hong Kong.

India was a fantastic place
to visit and On-the-go-tours did us a great holiday. After flying out
to New Delhi, we traveled by rail to Jaipur, then overland to Agra,
Orchha and Khajuraho, Varanasi
and Lumbini (Nepal).
Then Chitwan National park and Khatmandu. |

Prem, Jackie, Sue and I enjoyed a lovely walking week on the Isle of Arran in
May 2007. We were walking with the Downs and
Weald Rambling Group. |
