Though some information is available internationally, mainly via the International Genealogical Index and the online BMD indexes of the State of Victoria Australia, the main source of information has been supplied by Australian researchers especially Geoff Hall to whom I am very grateful.


Francis Scammell 1816 - 1899, his father's name was shown on his death certificate but as yet his place of birth in England or if he had siblings has not been established.
