Welcome to the Analogue Music Website

This page contains the songs mentioned in part 6 of 'The History of Recorded Sound' by Brian Pickard published in Living with Technology magazine
The following links are for MPEG3 (bandwidth 10kHz) versions of tracks written and performed by D Williams. Recorded using two reel to reel tape recorders in the late 1960's and early 1970's
They have been 'cleaned up' but are essentially as recorded. They show what is possible using domestic equipment. They should be loaded by clicking on the link using the RIGHT mouse button (IE5) and clicking on Save Target As... option

The following track "You go right through my Skin" was written by me and was the first recording attempted in 1968 for a local amateur drama group. The equipment used was a Ferguson mono 0.25 track and a friends BSR mono 0.5 track recorders. The location was my parents lounge using our upright piano and Daves first accoustic guitar! How times have changed!
