Animated Wipe Text
Yeah, I know it's a bit cheesy, but
it's still fun!
This is a simple example of "typewriter"
or "wipe" text animation and it goes like this:
Open a new canvas and select the "Text"
tool. Click in the canvas to open the Text Editor and type in your
required text. Click O.K. when done to close the Editor.
Next, open the Frames panel and click
the arrow at top right to open the options menu, as shown here:

Select the "Duplicate Frames"
option. In the dialogue box which now opens, set the required number
of duplicate frames (One for each letter of your word! Don't forget
to count "spaces" if you've used more than one word!),
like so:

Once you have clicked O.K., your Frames
panel should now look like this:

As you can see, I have SEVEN
frames, because I'm using a SIX-letter word. Click to select
Frame 1, then double-click the text box on your canvas. When the
Text Editor has opened, all text will be highlighted automatically.
Hit the delete key to remove all text from this frame, then click
O.K.
Next, click Frame 2 in the Frame panel,
and repeat the above step to open the Text Editor. This time, though,
you need to click in the Text Editor to place the cursor at the
end of your word, then hit the Backspace key until you leave only
the FIRST letter of your word, like so:

Click O.K. when done and move on to
Frame 3 in the Frame panel. Repeat the above steps, leaving the
first TWO letters of your word, like so:

Repeat this step for all remaining
frames, adding a letter each time, until you have reached the last
frame. Obviously, the last frame needs no changes, because it contains
the whole word!!!
Open the "Optimize" panel
and set the file option to "Animated Gif", like so:

Save and Export your file!
Wasn't that easy???
