Welcome to Pyroteknix v2. This site is currently aimed fairly
and squarely at Macromedia Fireworks 4 users everywhere. It's
main purpose is to provide easy-to-follow tutorials to help
users produce some eye-catching web graphics.
At the moment, I'm working on some "MX-Conversions"
for the existing tutorials, so keep checking back for updates!
I hope you enjoy your visit.

I'm John (or "John Mc" to my friends!). I live in
Hartlepool, England and am well past my sell-by-date (43 and
counting, having recently suffered another birthday!). Hartlepool
is famous (well, infamous actually) for hanging a monkey
during the Napoleonic wars (they thought it was a French spy!
Go figure!).
I got into Fireworks purely by chance, when a friend handed
me a magazine cover-disk and said "See what you can do
with that!" He was actually talking about a music editing
suite on the disk.
I got bitten by the limited-version Macromedia FW3 bug which
was also on offer. Instantly hooked, FW4 soon graced my desktop!
Well over a year later (and a new release of Fireworks MX),
I'm still having tremendous fun playing with Fireworks 4.
I recently tore the wrapping off an MX box, though, and am
having great fun "converting"!

So, wanna chat? Gotta question? I've finally gotten around
to getting an off-site MessageBoard/Forum up and running,
so PLEASE leave a message if you've visited! I'd love to hear
from you. But you can still contact me by e-mail or even MSN
Messenger if you feel the need for instant parley!
I'm even partial to the occasional
Netmeeting... program-sharing is SUCH a cool way to share
techniques! So add me to your Contacts!

Use the msn link if mailing
from yahoo/hotmail - otherwise my spamfilter will ignore you!
Sorry!

Well, I guess that's where the heart is, right?
There's a gap here that needs
filling... so take a look at some of my photos! Heh!

In this section, I've pulled together a series of Tutorials
to help you master some of the many techniques available in
Fireworks 4. Some very simple. Others.. Woo-hoo!
There are also some relevant Dreamweaver 4 tutorials included,
where this is necessary to fully implement the techniques discussed.
Although I'm currently working on converting these tut's to
MX techniques, I will be continuing to update the site regularly
with more FW4 goodies (as time and my wife's shopping requirements
allow!). I'm not abandoning FW4 yet!
I'm always willing to listen to requests though, and will be
happy to provide assistance wherever I can! Just gimme time
to get the shopping done, capisce???

On the not-very-likely chance that I may once in a while produce
something that I feel is worth passing on to others, I will
be making original png files available for download. In fact,
there's a small collection growing on my "Downloads"
page even as you read! These are offered on a completely copyright
and royalty-free basis for end users to use, amend, analyse,
distribute or ignore as they see fit.
Keep watching!
John Mc.
