Raise Compression, Removal of Base Gasket This increases the compression and removes the base gasket.
1. Remove your fan cover with pull start attached 2. Take off the spark plug wire from the spark plug. Remove the kill switch wire from the throttle cable (if its still on). 3. Remove the the engine shroud. 4. Loosen the 3mm bolts on the ignition system. 5. Remove carb and air-filter. 6. In the following process please do not loose any gaskets! 7. Take off the zip tie on the silicone tube. 8. Remove the cylinder head by removing the two bolts. 9. Lift the cylinder head straight up don't twist! 10. Remove the base Gasket. 11. For clearance remove the arrow on the piston by filing it. 12. Then rub off any oil and dirt from both cases. 13. Apply a pea sized amount of silicone to your finger and put only on the bottom case. 14. Align piston rings and put cylinder back on slowly, if it doesnt go try again. 15. Slot a business card between the flywheel and the ignition if there is clearance tighten everything back up, if not loosen the ignition system and push upwards to clear, then tighten bolts on. 16. When putting the screws back on apply a small amount of LOCKTITE to secure all screws. 17. Leave to dry, (should tell you on bottle, leave overnight just to be safe). 18. Remember to zip tie the hose back to the frame. |
