Lost and Found

If you belonged to 889 SU prior to 1974, please feel free to contact me, maybe I have heard from old colleagues and you might like to get in touch again, although I will not actively look for old colleagues prior to 1974 I would be willing to act as a go between and maintain a list of those that contact me and should anyone wish to find old friends it's a starting point. I have set apart a page where maybe if you would like to share photos and anecdotes, they would be welcome.

What started out as a project to find a few old pals, has turned into an international forum for the lost. I placed a message asking anyone from 889 SU that knew me to make contact, Paul London was the first and surprising contact, I expected my first contact to be from UK, but Paul surprised me by contacting me from New Zealand and it sort of snowballed from there, so I have decided to revamp the website in this area and publish a list of those found, missing and sadly departed.

I like to thank Paul for starting the ball rolling and helping in the location of those members from New Zealand and Australia.
I've decided to list people by their general location on the three sites that made up 889 SU to make the pages more manageable.

If you have any names or info to add, alter or erase please contact me.

Please Note I am limiting names to those who served with 889 SU 1974-1976 regardless of length of time with 889 SU (Even an hour qualifies..who was the shortest serving member?). With apologies to all ANZUK bods, but for the moment the numbers would be unmanaeageable, maybe in future I will extend to include ANZUK prior to the start of 889 SU. However please feel free to email me if you have any relevant info or just want a chat.

Please note that there will be a delay in any changes appearing on the website.
I would like some photos of anyone mentioned or anyone you have pictures of but can't remember their names, photos of the sites would be great. Ive added a few already.

For each site there are three lists:
   Last Post - Those of our numbers that have gone but will not be forgotten
   Found - Located and in touch
   Missing - Can you help locate them? This may include those that have been sighted but have not yet been contacted. If you are in touch with anyone in this list or you know where they are and have a means of contacting them please do so and let them know.

To respect privacy I've decided to publish only the general details and omit email and home addresses, Anyone wishing to make contact with another member can do it via me marking clearly the request for contact and their intended contact. I will then pass the request to the person concerned. This shall apply to ALL requests.
