Based on the Marvel comic strip, The Incredible Hulk saw the mild-mannered scientist Dr David Banner turning into a not-so-jolly green giant when he got angry.

The series starred Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno and ran for four-and-a-bit seasons in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Three TV movies were produced between 1988 and 1990, with the final one being titled Death of the Incredible Hulk.

The series is famous for having possibly one of the most downbeat theme tunes of all time.
