- UFO was the first of two novelisations based on the television series to be released by Pan Books, both of which were written by Robert Miall, a pen-name of John Frederick Burke.
- This novelisation was also released in Italy in the UFO: Attaco Alla Terra omnibus.
- Identified and Exposed were also novelised in the Italian U.F.O. book. The script to Identified was published in 2002 in UFO: Original Screenplays — Volume 1.
