Year Two is an omnibus containing all twenty-three of the Season Two episodes of
Space: 1999 which were novelised by Michael Butterworth in the 1970s and published in
Planets of Peril,
Mind-Breaks of Space,
The Space Jackers,
The Psychomorph,
The Time Fighters and
The Edge of the Infinite. It also includes a novelisation of the previously un-novelised Season Two episode
The Taybor.

- Year Two was produced as a limited edition. In fact, it was so limited that there are only 100 copies of each of the first two editions in existence!
As befits such a specialist item, copies of the first edition were individually numbered and signed. Both editions were bound in a black vinyl cover with a white dust jacket.
- This is the first time that a novelisation of The Taybor has ever seen print, as it was the only one of the twenty-four Season Two episodes of Space: 1999 not to be novelised by Michael Butterworth in the 1970s.
The episode novelisations within have been re-ordered so that they are reproduced in the order in which the stories take place and Butterworth has also written new linking material for the book.
