- The copyright page inside the book gives a date of 1976 for the Futura Books (Orbit) edition. This is incorrect as Phoenix Of Megaron was never released by Orbit in the UK.
- Phoenix of Megaron was the final Space: 1999 book to be published in teh United States by Pocket Books. The rights to publish the novelisations based on Season Two of the television series went to Warner Books, who began their six book series with Planets of Peril.
