General Notes
- Son of Soup was the second of two Red Dwarf script books to be published by Penguin, and was a follow-up to 1993's Primordial Soup. The third and final Red Dwarf script book to be released was Red Dwarf VIII from Virgin Publishing, which was published in hardback in 1999.
- Kryten and Me2 were novelised in Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers. Backwards was novelised in Better Than Life, and Gunmen of the Apocalypse was novelised in Backwards.
