Created by future novelist Stephen Gallagher, The Last Rose of Summer, Hunters' Moon and The Babylon Run formed a trilogy of science fiction serials written for broadcast on independent radio station Piccadilly Radio between 1977 and 1980.
To date, none of them have ever been released on cassette or CD, and if it wasn't for Gallagher's novelisations of the first two stories (and the unpublished novelisation of the third), it would be easy to overlook their existence at all.
