The Colour of Magic has been released on Region 2 DVD in the UK (Amazon.co.uk / Amazon.com / HMV.com), and is also available in HD on Blu-Ray (Amazon.co.uk / HMV.com). It is due to be released on Region 1 DVD in the United States in July 2009 (Amazon.com).

General Notes
- The Colour of Magic was a two-part mini-series produced for Sky One, which was based on the Discworld novels The Colour of Magic and The Light Fantastic, both written by fantasy author Terry Pratchett.
The same team had been responsible for the writing and production of Hogfather in 2006, although in that mini-series actor David Jason had played the part of Albert, rather than Rincewind. One other enforced change was that actor Ian Richardson, who had voiced Death in the earlier production, had died and was replaced by acting legend Christopher Lee.
