- Moon Express was the second of two Avengers novels to be written by Norman Daniels during the 1960s, and was the final novel based on the series to be released during the original run of the television series.
Apart from the John Steed — An Authorized Biography book published in the wake of The New Avengers, and the completely unauthorised bootleg title The Saga of Happy Valley, the next original Avengers novel to be released was John Peel and Dave Rogers' Too Many Targets, published by St Martin's Press in 1990. - Emma Peel appears on the cover despite not being in the book.
