Places visited by riders of The Moss Run - Skipton to Earby

You hardly get a foot on to a pedal before you are pulling up at the next stop and it's an odd one. Not really a pub, but a bar adjoining a restaurant and it's called Henri's. Still, very cosy and we tend to have the bar to ourselves, so we can hog the open plan fireplace and comfy chairs.
Blimey! It's like leap frog along here! Sure enough, within a few more hundreds of yards we have found another boozer. Once again it's not a pub, but a bar in a hotel and it's relatively quiet till we get in and there are more comfy chairs. Beware of lots of doors and corridors to get to the loo!
Now, my recollection of the pubs visited in Skipton is a bit shaky, being a relative newcomer, but we definitely go in this one, the Fleece Inn.
We leave our bikes in the shadows of the Fleece carpark and have a wander in Skipton, hence my lack of secure knowledge or is it the beer. However the Cock and Bottle is a must, I remember the low ceilings. Duck!
Leaving Skipton we find Herriots on the right and it's usually crowded and we stand out like the proverbial sore thumb(s)!
Away from the flesh pots of Skipton it's time to get a few miles done and test your stamina. Upon reaching The Bull at Broughton you realise you must have left your stamina somewhere! A welcoming pub despite the busy dining business and can be standing room only.
A good level-ish road helps on the next leg to Elslack where the Tempest Arms tolerates a load of sweaty, bedraggled and weary looking drunken cyclists.
Crikey! Now you know you are on a bike, had several drinks and that gravity sucks! The climb to Thornton is never worse than it is on this occasion, but once over the big bump you can recover some semblence of humanity before entering the Punch Bowl.
