This plant has been
grown by me for many years as Tropaeolum sessilifolium. Mr. Robert Clifton
of the Geraniaceae Group considers that Tropaeolum leptophyllum ssp. gracile
should be its correct name. Claudia Hernandez from Chile has contacted me
suggesting that it is in fact sessilifolium and included a picture of
a different plant which she believed to be the true leptophyllum ssp. gracile. For the present
I will continue to call it by the name it was called when I recieved it as
seed from Flores and Watson.
