Details are given below of towers containing three or more bells hung for full circle ringing. I hope this will assist organisers of ringing outings etc.
As well as the Lincolnshire towers I have included some 'across the
border' as a further aid to the organiser. Hover mouse pointer over the thumbnail for larger picture.
The letters GF after a church dedication indicate that the bells are rung from the ground floor. The letter T indicates that there is a toilet either in the church or close by.
It should be understood that practice nights are subject to change. Please check with the Tower Correspondent before making a special journey.
Please
note that the Tower Contact link is to the appropriate Bell Ringing
Society web site. It has been assumed that that organisation has
complied with the provisions of the Data Protection Act before
publishing information such as name, address and telephone number on the
internet. Any queries should be sent to the appropriate bell
ringing organisation i.e. the Lincoln Diocesan Guild, Southwell Diocesan
Guild, Beverley and District Society or the Ely Diocesan Society
I would be grateful if you would inform me of any inaccuracies.
The peal details are from Canon Felstead's records now maintained by the Central Council of Church Bell Ringers. The late
William Hall's Database records
peals rung from 1987 to date.
Where a recording of the bells is available it can be heard by clicking on
the
icon. If you can supply any missing recordings
for my Bell Recordings website I would be most grateful.
