The
Society The Hare & Hounds Golf Society was formed in 2004 when pub regulars at the Hare & Hounds in Heath End Road, Nuneaton decided to form a golf society. The idea was the brainchild of former Nuneaton businessman Derek Wilkinson who thought it might be a good idea to form a society from the pub. He organised the match with a couple of regulars and as they say the rest is history. Since then the society as grown with bi-annual events at different courses around Warwickshire and Leicestershire. Courses already played are Oakridge, Whetstoneand Stonebridge . The next match will be held at Whitefields in Coventry on Friday, May 16th. Challenge match: The society has been challenged to a match against the Royal Oak in Hartshill, the venue for the game is Killworth Springs on April 21, 2008. |
