About our club (in brief). We are situated in Leverhulme
Park and claim to
be - in terms of bowling achievements - the most successful club in the
country! But, don't just take our word for it, come to the pavilion and see
for yourself. Look at the photographs and the Honours Boards. Peruse the
many albums of Press Releases and photos and you'll get a flavour of what
we're about. Learn to bowl - we have Instructors and
Coaches (EBCA-trained and CRB-cleared). We will provide all the equipment
required. All we ask is that you wear flat-soled shoes (trainer-type are
usually OK at first, as long as they don't have a chunky tread or a heel). We do have
quite a range of brand new Ladies and Gents bowling shoes for you to borrow,
if you wish. So, don't buy anything, until you've tried the sport! If you fancy a game of Crown bowls,
there's a 1st-class crown green next door - literally! Many of our members
play both codes and, if you just want to try the game I'm sure you'll be
able to borrow some woods. Of course, we'd like you to stay and
enjoy our hospitality and our food but, just a short walk away is the
Farmers Arms where you can get a splendid value-for-money meal. So, that's it for now. Please keep
visiting the site - it is updated almost daily and you can be sure of
finding out the absolute latest about the Club.. Thanks for dropping by. ----
Information:
There is a toilet for the disabled and we can supply a wheelchair for
disabled bowlers (or visitors).
Have a game - against some of the sternest opposition in the country.
Experience bowling on the latest state-of-the-art artificial surface.
Relax with your family - in the pavilion, around the green or take a stroll
through the park. There are many delightful walks by the riverside or
through the woods and there is a kiddies play area just 200 yards away.
For the more energetic, there's an athletics track, some 5-a-side football
pitches and a pitch 'n putt golf course.
There is a wonderful range of high street stores in the Town Centre - 5
minutes drive or you could visit the nearby Trafford Centre.
