This is what I would normally do as part of a tuning unless there is a time constraint.
It would typically be a little regulation of one or two notes, dealing with a warped hammer
or key, locating a squeak or rattle or tightening a screw on the music rest.
The other issue is identifying possible problems. Please do not let your piano get to this state:
(and this photo was taken after I had already replaced 9 strings!). If I had been alerted after the first string broke
I would have found that the trebble was tuned a whole tone sharp, so would have been able to save the other strings. |
