London connection

The first recorded Angliss Nicolaus Angleis lived in the St Pancras area of London. There have been Anglisses living in London over the centuries many working in the traditional Angliss trade of fellmongery and the related area of butchery. Indeed it is said that our most famous family member the Australian meat millionaire Sir William Angliss learned the trade of butcher as a young man in London.
