The houses on the east side of this approach apparently are also on the site of the garden and of another building (probably the coach house or stable) which lay immediately to the east of Martha Carr's house. publicly thanked him for his " zealous, earnest and loving help"; and
in 1913 he attended the Old Framlinghamians' dinner in London, and showed the
watch to the assembled company and told them he had worn it for 43 years".
