Yorkshire
There was a John Causton involved with the wool trade in 1350 in Yorkshire but it is not known if this is the source of the Hinderwell Caustons. This tree has to be speculative as there is some uncertainty due to people of the same name in the parish who may have married and had families. The other substantial Causton family in Yorkshire (head ID 2485) are much more recent immigrants from Suffolk, who probably moved to obtain work.
