The Inn was built by the Renfrewshire Public House Trust for a cost of £1000.
Bookings can be taken for larger parties if requested.
It offers a large selection of various wines and spirits
and also provides a good selection of real ales from England and Scotland. It is on the route of the cycle track running down the West of Scotland...
so any warm cyclists or worn out walkers are welcome to come in and cool down.......
This one of the two local inns, it is at the "bottom end" of the village
and is known as the Trust Inn. It was originally known as the Trust House Inn and was officially opened by Sir Thomas
Glen-Coats in June 1904.
It had a Tea room (where tea, coffee,
and cocoa were to be sold), a bar, and a family department (where
women could buy goods without having to be seen in the bar!).
It is included in the conservation area, and, because of this the external features have not been allowed to be changed,
so what you see is what it looked like years ago,
(see the photographs in the "gallery" area).
The Trust offers a friendly welcome to all customers, where you can
enjoy a drink in warm hospitable surroundings. An excellent food service is also
available, with a large choice of various dishes from the menu and a daily chef's
special.
Inside there are pictures of Kilbarchan in "yesteryear"
showing the trades and the people that made the village a busy place,
worth having a look at.
This selection changes on a regular basis, just have a look at the list
on the blackboard to what is currently available, a real treat for ale
lovers.

The staff are always their to give a cheery smile and serve you from the large
selection available on the impressive gantry, not forgetting the changing beer
selection.......
Not to forget the regular sports events shown on the large screen TV and
forthcoming events (live groups).
