From the notes of Alfred John Boon: Bridget lived with her daughter Ann(Julia) in Crescent Road, Plumstead. She would visit each of her locally based children, who would each give her a shilling a week. Her pension must have been small (did she have an Army pension?) She died about 1920. I was there when she died, and I can remember the death smell. I smelled it many times after.
