Francis Synan

From the notes of Alfred John Boon:
Francis was about 16 when I lived in Andover. She was nursemaid to Sheila, daughter of Fred Winter, stable jockey for Maurice Hartigan at Weyhill Stables. When she was about 16 Francis came to live with us at Plumstead, as there was little work in Andover. She was employed at Seimens Bros. Charlton, and stayed with us until her marriage. She married George Smith, an electrical engineer from Seimens. He joined the ROAC/REME and retired as a major. We often crossed during service.

I remember playing with a Smith, who I was told was my cousin, at a large house in Deepcut, Surrey, in the late 1940s.
