There is an enemy more sinister than he who declares himself to be your enemy:
it is the enemy who professes to be your friend.

The Outcrop

A novel by John Allen

Following the chaos of a failed operation deep inside Afghanistan, Terry Saunders resigns from MI6 and starts to rebuild his life with his wife Hannah and children, Laura and Tom.

But Terry discovers that the past cannot always be pushed aside quite that easily.

When allegations are made of atrocities committed during that last operation Terry and his family find themselves pursued across southern England by people intent on retaliation or revenge.

But then another threat to Terry's safety appears from an unexpected quarter.
