April 2004 - Harrogate Spring Flower Show

On 25 April 2004 Jo Griffiths was awarded the Mrs JHC Hodgson Bridal Floristry Trophy for her 'bouquet and boutonniere for a futuristic bride and groom. She was commended for her 'excellent design' by judge Ian Lloyd NDSF FSF, the Immediate Past President of the Society of Floristry. The Bridal Class is the most senior of all the floristry classes and competition is always fierce. With a wide field of over 20 competitors Jo was particularly pleased to have achieved an overall grade of 92% and again received full marks for the high standard of her workmanship and attention to detail.

April 2003 – Harrogate Spring Flower Show

On 24 April 2003 Jo Griffiths was awarded the Chrysal Professional Floristry Trophy for her ‘Arrangement for an 18^th Birthday Party’, the first time this trophy has been awarded, and setting a precedence for high standards with an overall grade of 97%. Jo was delighted to receive this award and hopes it will mark the start of a long and successful career in competition work! 'I wanted to create something fun and funky so chose the lucky bamboo and vibrant pink flowers. Staging the piece as if it was a table centrepiece at the party allowed me to introduce more fun elements, including a mobile phone displaying a text message wishing the birthday girl a happy day!'
