What follows on the page below is a transcript of the email correspondence that occurred between myself and Chaz Engan, one of the co-authors of Beyond the Mountains Of Madness whilst I was running the Campaign.
The transcript does not detail the whole of the Campaign, as I started to email Mr Engan about a third of the way from the Start, roughly as the characters are en route to Antarctica. The Campaign we played differed in parts from the published Campaign, sometimes quite widely. This of course is inevitable considering the changes of direction and tangents that occur when roleplaying. Most of the differences are ones of addition, however, rather than substitution.
If you are Playing or thinking of Playing BMOM, then bear this warning in mind before viewing the document; It is, by its nature, all spoiler. It contains plot details and GM thoughts on the running of the Campaign. In fact, if you are a Player, I strongly advise that you refrain from reading the transcript until after you have finished the Campaign.
If you are a GM who is running or thinking of running BMOM, I hope you find it interesting. For me, running BMOM was a tremendous experience, and I wish you well in your Campaign.
