Welcome to the Online Security page, I'm sure that you all know that there are no end of virus', spyware (malware) and spammers out there waiting for an opportunity to infect your PC or Laptop.

I upgraded, from Kaspersky Anti Virus, to  Kaspersky Internet Security Suite when it was first launched and, as yet, haven't been caught and been unable to use any of the PC's and Laptops on my network.

I have in the dim and distant past also used Grisoft AVG and Panda Anti Virus tools. As a Firewall I used Zone Alarm, all of these did a good job. I switched to Kaspersky when they went to the "whole hog" complete suite because their Anti Virus software was extremely effective.

I haven't used Symantec "Norton". Microsoft's XP SP3 seems to be causing a problem with Norton 2008 installations, follow this link for more information.  There is a fix for this problem : Microsoft site

For Spyware (Malware) I have found Spybot and Windows Defender to be effective. I believe Spybot will run on all platforms from Windows 95 to Vista. Defender will only run on XP and Vista and you will need to validate your XP / Vista installation.
