This was a very
different kind of holiday for us – no walking! We very much enjoyed cruising the |

The highlight of the holiday was the visit to |

Ted had a birthday while we were on board and the chef had made a
cake. After dinner we enjoyed Egyptian
dancers. |

We visited three of the tombs in The Valley of The
Kings and again there were some stunning colours but we were not allowed to
take photographs. |
||||||||||
|

|
|||||||||
|
At The Temple of Hatchepsut, the female pharaoh we were able to capture
some remarkable carvings and colouring. |
||||||||||
|

|

|
Karnak is the largest temple complex ever built in the world. There is still much excavation to be done
here. |
||||||||||

||||||||

||||||||
|
Not far away from Karnak was Luxor Temple – much
smaller – but very impressive. The two
temples used to be connected by a stone processional street lined with
sphinxes. You can see these near Luxor
on the picture above. |
