Humber Mouth Yacht Club is dedicated to introducing newcomers to the sport of sailing. We have a well equipped, RYA approved training centre which has 4 Topper dinghies for teaching beginners along with 2 Laser Radials, 1 Laser 2000 and 1 Drascombe Dabber for the more advanced courses. The school principle is a very experienced RYA Senior Instructor who is ably assisted by other club members many of whom are also RYA instructors. The training centre has a very close affiliation with the cadet section and although courses for adults can be arranged, the vast majority of students are youngsters between the ages of 10 and 16. All the training centre staff work on a purely voluntary basis with courses run through the summer months along with informal coaching for all dinghy members 2 or 3 times a year.
