Humber Mouth Yacht Club offers exceptional value to owners of cruising yachts and larger power boats which require a swinging mooring. The moorings are protected from the North Sea by a large sandbank called "The Whaleback". Situated at the very mouth of the river Humber there are plenty of places to go for overnight stops. Unlike most clubs there are no annual fees for cruiser owners, (except for normal club subscription). Instead members "buy" a mooring for a one off fee. The mooring is then yours for as long as you need it. Boats dry out at low tide onto a sandy beach so moorings are not suitable for fin keelers. Moorings are provided complete with new swivel and riding chain. All members have to provide is a pick up buoy and then maintain the mooring whilst they own it. Tenders can be stored in the clubs secure compound or inflatables can be kept inside the club along with outboards etc. If you're going away for a few days cars can also be locked inside the secure compound. Winter storage is included in the annual club subscription, again within the compound, as is lifting in at the start of the season and lifting out at the end of the season.
