Dinghy Programme

REAL DINGHY SAILORS DO IT IN THE SEA!!

Sailing on ponds and reservoirs maybe OK for some people but we at Humber Mouth prefer it ready salted and lumpy!

Sailing on the sea gives another dimension to your sailing and without any of the limitations often imposed on inland water. There are no "water skiing days" or "anglers only afternoons" on the Humber! You can sail any day of the week...provided the tide's in. (there is enough water to launch and recover dinghies two to three hours either side of high water).

For the serious dinghy cruiser the Humber Estuary offers real sea sailing. The less experienced are also catered for with safe deep water within "The Creek", a stretch of water in front of the club which is protected from the North Sea by a large sand band.

If you're a hardened dedicated racer...please join another club! If however you enjoy social racing with the emphasis very much on taking part and having fun then read on. The club offers a programme throughout the summer with class racing for Toppers and Lasers as well as a personal handicap system meaning all types of boats and all levels of experience have a chance of being among the prizes.

So, whatever type of dinghy you sail or whatever your level of experience Humber Mouth Yacht Club has a place for you.

HMYC has signed up to the RYA Racing Charter ensuring fair racing for all.
