The nearby village of Cotgrave offers a leisure centre with indoor pool, a good range of shops and a variety of takeaways. There is easy access to the A46 and A52, and a regular bus service from the village to Nottingham.

A short drive away (6 miles) is Nottingham, a lively city that has lots to offer the visitor, from Nottingham Castle, Tales of Robin Hood, Nottingham Caves, Galleries of Justice to the National Ice Stadium. Further details can be obtained from the Nottingham Tourist Information Centre.

Within 3 miles of the site is the National Water Sports Centre offering a country park and various water sports including white water rafting, canoeing, sailing, wind surfing and rowing. Our local links page provides further information on things to do and places to visit during your stay.

There are several major supermarkets within a few miles (Tesco will deliver to the site). Cotgrave has a couple of small supermarkets, several takeaways, newsagents & a hardware shop (no gas or paraffin). Bingham has similar shops and the hardware shop does stock both calor gas and paraffin.
