UNARMED COMBAT

Summary of Lessons

Lesson 1

(i) Vulnerable Points.

(ii) Correct punching.

(iii) Attack vulnerable points of head. Opponent avoids, seizes wrists.

(iv) Wrist release and counter-attack.

(v) Apply arm lock and force prisoner along.

 

Lesson 2

(i) Correct punching.

(ii) Close with your opponent.

(iii) Attack any vulnerable points. Opponent retreats and hurls knife.

(iv) Avoid knife. Opponent seizes you around waist, under arms.

(v) Effect release.

(vi) Apply arm lock and-march prisoner along.

 

Lesson 3

(i) Low Rugger tackle.

(ii) Disable opponent. He resists, gets upper-most and tries to strangle you.

(iii) Defence against stranglehold on the ground and counter-attack.

(iv) Holding opponent on the ground.

Change to (v) Arm lock and march him off.

 

Lesson 4

(i) High Rugger tackle. Tackle fails...opponent seizes you around waist, over arms.

(ii) Effect release. Opponent rushes in.

(iii) Cross buttock.

(iv) Holding opponent on the ground.

(v) Apply arm lock and march him off.

 

Lesson 5

(i) Stalk sentry. Opponent attacks with bayonet.

(ii) Parry and disarm. Opponent kicks.

(iii) Stop kick.

(iv) Attack vulnerable points.

(v) Hold him down.

(vi) Apply arm lock.

 

Lesson 6

(i) Held up from behind with revolver - disarm. Opponent grabs your clothing.

(ii) Effect release. He seizes your throat.

(iii) Release and throw. He grips you around waist.

(iv) Break hold.

(v) Apply arm lock and march him off.

 

Lesson 7

(i) Attacked with rifle and bayonet - disarm. Disarm fails, opponent re-attacks.

(ii) Disarm. Opponent seizes your throat from behind.

(iii) Release and throw. He rushes in with a kick.

(iv) Stop kick. He rushes again.

(v) Apply arm break.

(vi) Tie up.

 

Lesson 8

(i) Held up with revolver in front - disarm. Opponent seizes throat.

(ii) Release and arm lock. He seizes you around waist under arms from behind.

(iii) Release. Opponent strikes with dagger from above.

(iv) Parry and disarm.

(v) Tie him up.

 

Lesson 9

(i) Attacked with dagger from below.

(ii) Parry and disarm. Opponent delivers blow at head.

(iii) Counter with front strangle and throw. He seizes you around waist, over the arms, from behind.

(iv) Obtain release. He seizes throat.

(v) Release. He next grabs your belt and throat.

(vi) release. Apply arm lock and march him off.
