PLEASE NOTE THAT AS FROM 1ST MAY 2009 THERE WILL BE A RIDE FEE OF 50 PENCE PER RIDE FOR ALL MEMBERS AND A £2 JOINING FEE FOR NEW MEMBERS.
YOU CAN TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE ADVANCE PAYMENT SCHEME - 12 RIDES FOR THE PRICE OF 10 OR 25 RIDES FOR THE PRICE OF 20 OR £20 FOR UNLIMITED RIDES FOR A YEAR
Also please note that if the leaders decide that the full group will be too large, the ride will be split into two groups , each under the control of two leaders. The groups will both be of mixed ability and will travel about 10 minutes apart , meeting up for lunch/coffee.

SATURDAY
7th November - Rudyard Lake- Meet at Five Ways, Hazel Grove at 0930 or Rushton Spencer at 1000. An off-road ride along the lake - let's hope the weather is a bit better this year - coffee stop on lakeside. Distance about 14 miles
21st November - Portland Basin - Meet at Reddish Vale Visitor Centre at 1000. Mainly canal ride to Ashton and back via Gorton - coffee stop at Asda , Sportcity. Distance about 16 miles
5th December - Carsington Water - Meet at Disley Station at 0930 to drive to Carsington for 1015. A very attractive ride with some hills (and downhills) along one side and a flat return on the other side. Optional climb to and big descent from Middleton Top. Coffee at Visitor Centre . Distance about 14 miles
19th December - Bollington - Meet at Poynton Pool at 1000. A ride on quiet lanes and Middlewood Way. Coffee stop at Coffee Tavern. Distance about 14 miles
2nd January 2010 - New Year ride to Hayfield - Meet at New Mills Leisure Centre at 1000. Our traditional ride (with or without snow). Bring food and drink as most places will be closed. A ride along Sett Valley Trail and then to Furness Vale to return through the Torrs. - Distance about 13 miles.
16th January 2010 - Christmas Party at Hyde Bank Farm - Pre-booking required - cost £10 per head. 2 course lunch, medals, trophies, quiz and the dreaded certificates.
Lifts to rides can often be arranged and the Club has a few bikes which can be borrowed for rides.
SUNDAY
Sunday rides will be mainly on road on quiet lanes with distances between 25 and 35 miles. There will be a lunch stop, probably pub lunch, wherever possible. Riding will be at the usual club pace and we hope this will offer an opportunity to go a bit further.
15th November - Lymm- Meet at Car Park next to the Leisure Centre at Wilmslow at 1000. Across Cheshire to Lymm with lunch at Poplar 2000 Transport cafe. Distance about 32 miles
29th November - Wheelock- Meet at Holmes Chapel Shopping Centre at 1000 . Leaving via an ancient trackway it is then via Middlewich and on through lanes to Wheelock for lunch. Return will be via Hassall Green and Brereton Heath. Lunch at Wheelock - Distance about 30 miles.
Lifts to rides can often be arranged and the Club has a few bikes which can be borrowed for rides.
SUNDAY eXTRA RIDES
eXtra miles, eXtra fun. These rides will be mainly on road on quiet lanes with distances typically around 50 miles. There will be a lunch stop, probably pub lunch, wherever possible. Riding will be at the usual club pace and we hope this will offer an opportunity for the more experienced to cycle even further. Ideal for those thinking of taking part in Charity Rides. Everyone is welcome. No destinations are initially being shown but all rides will commence in the Stockport area. Contact is Andy Pennell.

WEDNESDAY EVENING RIDES
The Wednesday evening rides have now ended for 2009 and will e-commence in late April 2010. However many of the Saturday rides are only slightly longer than the Wednesday rides and include a coffee stop so why not try one of those.
FORTHCOMING EVENTS
Cycle User Group - This is a consultation group created by the Council to consult with cyclists on proposed road developments and other items affecting cyclists in general within Stockport. All cyclists are welcome. Meetings are held once a month and alternate between the main group which discusses general items and updates on ongoing projects, rights of way issues and capital projects and the sub group which meets to discuss specific issues and usually concentrates on one project per meeting. The meetings are usually held at the Town Hall from 6pm to 8pm. The next few dates are:
Wednesday 18th November – Main Group
Wednesday 16th December – sub group
