Home CLUB WEEKEND
On the weekend of the 10th and 11th March 2007, the Club held a very successful weekend in the Lake District.
The weekend was based at Tebay where we filled two of the local B & B's with a choice to stay at The Old School or the Cross Keys. Guess which was the most popular although I forgot to mention the ghost. For those who didn't believe me here's the story

The Saturday ride was a pleasant out and back on a superb tarmac path along the banks of the River Lune to Crook o'Lune where we just had to have a bacon sandwich or a burger - well it was cold !
The Sunday ride was a more challenging affair on the shores of Lake Windermere. The options were a fairly gentle ride along the shores of Windermere to Far Sawrey and a look at the ferry. Those with more ambition went for the Claife Heights route up a never ending series of climbs and past some tarns before a long swooping descent through the forest and then back to the Lake.
