- The Club is a family-orientated leisure cycling club based in Stockport , Cheshire.
The National Health Service recently advised that cycling a couple of times a week would improve the health of the nation beyond measure. The biggest fears most people have about starting cycling (particularly if they have not ridden for some time) is riding on roads, riding on their own and not knowing where to go. Most of our rides are on off-road easy cycling routes with good company and more importantly at a speed everyone can do with frequent rest stops. Distances are not great and perhaps the best testament is that most people who come out with us stay with us and ride on a regular basis. Families with children over the age of 8 are welcome if the children have done a little cycling. The hardest thing to overcome is to get the bike out and join us. We do have some bikes to borrow and can usually provide lifts if needed. Ring Jim Court on 0161 487 2387 if you are interested and want to know more.
The website may be a little basic but more importantly, get in touch and come and share the enjoyment of mainly off-road cycling around the area.
The website is divided into a number of pages telling about us and our activities so have a look around. We also intend to publish local routes we have tried and other useful links and information
The website should be regularly updated so please come back regularly and have a look at the changes.
