My main hobbies are ham radio, photography, sport and gardening. My GI0DVU Website is dedicated to the world of amateur radio and may be found here. This new site is devoted to photography where my interests are now focusing on digital, as opposed to film based photographic techniques.

 

There can be no doubt that the advent of digital cameras and the recent proliferation of computers have had a significant effect on the photographic industry. More and more people are discovering just what an enjoyable and fun hobby photography can be. Instant availability of  photographs and the ability to print, edit and manipulate them on the home computer has resulted in a massive upsurge in the number of people taking photographs. Whether these be snapshots of the family at home or on holiday, or more serious efforts aimed at winning competitions and awards, the net effect has been to enhance the attractiveness of the hobby to people of all ages and to male and female alike.

 

This site, parallels my GI0DVU site, in that it tells you something of my interest in this hobby. I hope you will find it interesting and trust it may answer some of  your questions and encourage you to participate in this enthralling activity.
