Firstly as a Social Club by the Auxiliary Fire Service during the War, subsequently the present day Club since 1946. The Hall was built by Robert Baildon during the mid 1500s on the site of a former Mediaeval Manor House, parts of which still remain. The Hall has been lovingly restored by the members over the years although the work is still ongoing.
