Daniel is 21 years old, he
has been riding since he was 5 on a PW 50 which he raced when he was 6. A quick
turn-a-round of bikes nearly one a meeting saw Dan change from the PW to a 10"
Malagutti to a 12" Malagutti & finally in that first year a quick LEM that used
to out drag most KX60s when they ran together. That bike was always at the front the
following year racing against his arch rival and was often the closest racing off the day.
Daniel progressed through the groups always racing against the quick East Kent boys when
late in 1999 his best ride came at an East Kent Parkwood meeting on his trusty big wheel
80 when he took the overall from some very good competition. A further year in the Inter
100s should be Dan's best. Dan season came to an abrupt halt at the wet Canada
Heights meeting in early May with a broken knee which will keep him out until
September. Dan then moved onto a new Honda CR125 and
started practising, but the foot and
mouth crisis left Dan almost a year without a competitive race.
Now he races with Mick and Ben at sidup on the new Honda four stroke he has
longed for.
