Royal Maundy Service

 

The Royal Maundy Service, which dates back at least eight centuries, was held at Manchester Cathedral for the very first time, on Thursday 5 April 2007 . Manchester Trafalgar Unit attended with 16 cadets lining the route as The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh exited the cathedral.

Four cadets were also chosen to help collect the flowers given to the queen

Cadets attended Presentation at Stockport town hall to receive awards for the 2006 Poppy appeal

Junior Activities Weekend

 

Juniors from Trafalgar and TS Aberconwy spent the weekend  aboard doing various activities from pulling and campcraft to semaphore and bends and hitches

Pulling and Power Weekend

 

Pulling and Power weekend training course held at Trafalgar three ATC cadets joined us on the pulling course from 1940 squadron.

The crew of HMS Manchester have exercised their Freedom of the City on Sunday 19th February by parading though its streets


Ships Company attended a service at Manchester Cathedral  where they were greeted by the Lord Mayor, Leading Cadet Iain Greenwood of Manchester Trafalgar was one of the readers during the service. On conclusion of the service HMS Manchester marched from the Cathedral to Albert Square. followed by a Sea Cadet Division. with cadets from Manchester Trafalgar and TS Talisman. Ending with a reception at the Town Hall

 

18th February 2006

14 cadets visited HMS MANCHESTER

 

Along with cadets from TS Talisman Trafalgar cadets visited our affiliated ship HMS Manchester docked in Liverpool.  They we treated to lunch aboard ship then given a tour of the ship which was enjoyed by all cadets especially the weapons display. Special thanks to Commander Bill Evans and the ships company for wonderful day.

Sailing Weekend at Trafalgar

 

Cadets from Manchester Trafalgar and TS Hawkins spent the first 2 weekends of February Sailing on debdale gaining some RYA Sailing qualifications
