On Harvest Sunday 2002, the congregation brought food to Church, for distribution to needy people in the community.

After the service, donated items were loaded up to be taken to the Lambeth Walk-in, a day centre giving housing and employment advice and training for those who have difficulty coping with finances, cooking and healthcare.

On Good Friday 2002, members of Foots Cray Baptist Church joined Christians from several other churches in Sidcup, to take part in the annual Easter Procession of Witness. Around 250 people walked from St. John's Church and continued along Sidcup high street. At three locations we stopped, sung a hymn, prayed and read from the Bible.

It was a lovely morning, and as we walked, we prayed in particular for the people of Sidcup, that the cross that we carried and our silent procession would remind them about the sacrifice that Jesus made on that first Easter.
