ST ANDREW'S CHURCH

St Andrew's Church The church building was built in 1871, and is the only Anglican Church/centre of worship within the parish.

The parish has a population of around 5,500, although many church members live outside the parish.

Around 300+ people can be accommodated in the church building. Consideration is given to persons with a disability in that there is a sound system (with loop in one area), the entrance can be ramped up the entrance step, and there is flat access from Mapperley Road through the black gate.

We have a Church Secretary in the Church Office part-time during the week (see 'contact us' page).

CONGREGATION
The Sunday 10am attendance averages around 66, and around 18 at the evening service. Around 60% of the congregation are under age 50, and roughly 20% represent ethnic minority groups. There is a wide social mix within the congregation.

SPLAT We also have a Junior Church for primary school aged children which enjoys meeting new members, so feel free to join us on Sunday mornings, when they meet during the morning service most weeks during the school term except for All Age services, usually the 3rd Sunday each month. Also see Junior Church page.

We have a special area for babies and toddlers, which is at the back of church where parents may take their children during any service, and still be able to hear the service through a speaker in the room. You can also see the service as the room is fully glass fronted.
