Towy’s first venture north of their native Carmarthenshire for the Aberystwyth Antiques & Collectors’ Fair proved a popular move last August, when they took fifty dealers to Ysgol Penweddig in Llanbadarn Fawr on the outskirts of Wales’ premier university town. The fair was very well received and visitors’ comments reflected a hitherto dearth of quality antiques events in mid-Wales. Good sales of quality furnishing pieces were reported by Salem Antiques and Tim Bowen, and the overall demand seemed to be for good quality items including pictures by Welsh artists which were also selling strongly.
Towy report a very high re-booking rate for the next event in Aberystwyth on 7th & 8th October.
The fair is open from 10am-5pm, Saturday and Sunday and admission is £3 for adults (accompanied children free).
