Leaders

The Scout movement depends upon the quality, commitment and enthusiasm of its adult Leadership, volunteers who give their time freely to help the development of young people. All Leaders have to undertake training to equip themselves to do a good job. The Movement's training programme has become recognised by professional trainers as one of the best of its kind. All Adventurous activities are lead by adult Leaders who possess the appropriate National Governing Body Qualifications, (i.e. Royal Yachting Association, British Canoe Union, The British Mountaineering Council, Royal Life Saving Society, St. John Ambulance Association) or have undertaken in-house Scout Association Training. Each Adventurous activity Leader is authorised in accordance with the Scout Association Activity Rules. The Craft and Equipment used is all independently inspected where required by the Scout Association Activity Rule.

Qualified Instructers

Within the groups leadership team we have a 3 qualified RYA Dinghy Instructors, a BCU Level 2 Coach and a qualified Lifeguard.
