Climbing Success

The troop has had success in the National Scout Rock Climbing competition at the NIA in Birmingham. Four Scouts represented the troop as finalists and we where delighted when they returned home with two first places and a third. Each Scout competed as an individual, having to solve a number of Bouldering problems and climb a number of marked routes up walls. The pictures below show the Climbers in action at the NIA during the finals..

Story Title

Originally Scouts from across the county had competed in Regional Events to qualify for the Finals in Birmingham. We took part in the Midlands Heats at the Birimingham Rockface. Thanks go to the District Mountaineering Team for training the Scouts and organizing their entry to the competition.
