Pyranha Lightning Kayak - K1 Racing Kayak

Fast and friendly the Lightning was designed by Pyrhana in collaboration with the British Canoe Union to be ideal for lighter, smaller paddlers and Juniors, i.e. Sea Cubs and Sea Scouts. The boats are made of durable plastic, ideal for reducing maintenance tasks, but will still perform out on the sprint course. Used for flat water sprint racing the kayaks are long (4.31m) and thin (53cm at widest point) with a rudder to assist steering (controlled by the Kayakers feet). These training boats are used by the group to give Cubs and Sea Scouts an introduction to the world of flat water racing and make an excellent change from the traditional General Purpose / White Water Kayaking of Scout Groups across the country.
